Parents with terminal diseases are in an emotionally different place than those who are diagnosed early. While early stagers are preparing their families for the fight of their life, late stagers are preparing to talk to their families about death. We were asked to change these end of life conversations into something that could be empowering. So, we designed a video messaging app that gave terminally ill parents a chance to help their kids navigate life long after they’re gone. We changed conversations about death into conversations that would last lifetimes.
