If I am honest, I had to Google "Apothecary." For those of us who grew up saying "pharmacist," an Apothecary is a fancy-schmancy way of defining a person who makes and sells medicines and drugs. In contrast, a pharmacist dispenses prescription drugs made by other people. Now that we got that out of the way…Freedom Apothecary makes and sells freedom. Founders Morissa Jenkins and Bonkosi Horn wanted to create a wellness space to empower women especially black and brown women. They are a girl power-founded, girl-power-led platform for female-founded brands. The boutique is a treasure trove of toxin-free serums, cleansers, fragrances, and elixirs, including products from their house brand. You can also blend your own "freedom" at the blend bar and no one looks at you funny.
